The News Review: Edition 55

Here at The Gaming Review we know that the modern gamer can be far too busy to search through myriad web pages and magazines for all the latest in gaming news, so that’s why we’ve put together a list of the biggest news stories from over the past 7 days.

  • Psyonix has announced that licensed Portal items are set to be included in Rocket League sometime next month.
  • Psyonix has also revealed a new hockey inspired mode called ‘Snow Day’ for Rocket League which will be released on December 14th and will replace Mutator Mashup as Psyonix introduce a Winter Games event.
  • The Hearthstone World Championship Tour is set to feature a whopping $1 million prize pool. The top 16 players from Ranked Play sessions and online qualifying tournaments will be selected to participate. Better start practising!
  • Tony Hawkes Pro Skater 5 has received a 7.8GB patch on PS4, which adds new levels, character campaigns, and gameplay fixes.
  • Feel like Destiny is too easy? Bungie has announced they’re introducing a ‘harder’ mode to Destiny: The Taken King’s King’s Fall Raid. Stay tuned for more details.
  • Slightly Mad Studios has added it’s latest batch of DLC cars and tracks to Project CARS, which includes classic Lotus cars and historic tracks.
  • Slightly Mad Studios has also stated that they have DLC set to continue ‘well into 2016’ for Project Cars.
  • Sony’s PlayStation 4 is still selling well, with over 30 million units now being sold worldwide.
  • Team Ninja’s Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 will not be heading to America or Europe, according to the games’ publishers representative.
  • Dying Light’s expansion The Following, as well as the games season pass, is set to receive an increase in price, with the expansion rising to £15.99, and the season pass to £23.99 from December 8th.
  • Rock Band 4 players will soon be able to download a Fallout 4 Vault 111 outfit for free.
  • As mentioned in our recent review, Need For Speed’s rubber banding issue has been fixed this week.
