What Remains of Edith Finch (PS4) – critically acclaimed first-person narrative game. Finally you get a chance to hear what everyone has been talking about.
Marooners (Xbox One, May 1-31) – local multiplayer fun with a selection of mini games.
The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour (Xbox One, May 16-June 15) – hardcore golf sim with a clever name. Never quite managed to capture the glitz of the old Tiger Woods but has none of that mid-air spinning nonsense either.
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (Xbox 360, Xbox One via backward compatibility, May 1-15) – over-the-top third-person shooting action. Millions of aliens attack, and you have to shoot them all.
Comic Jumper (Xbox 360, Xbox One via backward compatibility, May 16-31) – panel-jumping action from live-action comics. From the people behind the excellent ‘Splosion Man so worth a look.
