Review: Need for Speed – Hot Pursuit
When I’m not playing Hot Pursuit, I’m thinking about playing Hot Pursuit
When I’m not playing Hot Pursuit, I’m thinking about playing Hot Pursuit
if you’re a person into hardcore combat it will suit your needs when you switch on the ‘realistic’ setting
…the dull questions and pointlessness of the whole thing will end up making way to a game of Pictionary or “stick the Christmas cracker novelty to the sleeping grandparent”
there’s no denying that this isn’t for everyone – a Marmite game you could say…
From the very start Castle Crashers sucks you in and doesn’t let go
It’s a learning curve that’s so steep you’ll need climbing equipment to get to the top…
Battles are accompanied by frantic tracks, and gentle melodies sweep through the hills as you make your way through to your next location…
Hearing a TIE fighter swoop in and shoot its lasers at you makes you feel like you’re watching the films again, more so if you’re wearing a decent set of headphones
Each time period features its own style of zombie, with music, sounds and snippets of speech also reflecting the time you’re in…
…it feels totally satisfying when you get to the end half a second ahead of your nearest rival with your car coated in a fresh layer of mud and gravel
While getting through the levels themselves isn’t a huge task, collecting every star in the process certainly is.
…you’ll have almost as much fun trying to find geeky references to various TV shows, films and other techie stuff.
The number of puzzles available here will keep you going for a fair while, especially given how tough they become…
…the lightning gun is really worth grabbing just to see how damn cool it is…
So we’re already a little addicted. But while we’re here, why not get educated?
…a running back at full speed is more likely to break through weak tackles, and a huge sack on the quarterback looks and sounds genuinely painful.
…mating two rarer frogs together can reap much more psychedelic results…
You can easily get away with a 10 minute session, but could find yourself an hour later wondering where the time went.
By keeping the game simple… the developers have made Flick Kick Field Goal extremely accessible.
