NACON’s Upcoming PS5 Controller Could Be a DualSense Beater

You’ll be hard pushed to find someone who wasn’t impressed the first time they picked up a DualSense controller. With finely tuned haptic feedback, resistant triggers and the perfect size for almost any hands, it was a huge leap forward.

Or at least it was until a few months later, when the dreaded stick drift started creeping in. I have three PS5 controllers at home; two of them have some kind of stick drift despite numerous home-cleaning attempts. If only there was a way we could have a well made, finely crafted controller that somehow did away with stick drift for good. While we’re on the wish list, let’s add huge amounts of customisation to the list. That’d be nice, right?

Turns out, NACON agrees, and has a solution arriving before the end of the year. The Revolution 5 Pro is a unique controller for players in terms of design, ergonomics, comfort, precision and technical innovation. Among the new features is Hall Effect technology which allows for greater precision with the joysticks and triggers, as well as a very long service life which should banish any of that drifting for good. To make the deal even sweeter, the entire controller has also been designed with environmental responsibility in mind. The ability to repair and replace key components was a prerequisite during the initial design phase.

Compatible with PS5, PS4 and PC, used wired or wireless, the officially licensed Revolution 5 Pro is the perfect ally for competitive gamers who require high performance. As well as being fully customisable to suit every player, the controller can be used more than 10 hours before recharging. An additional benefit for gamers is that it connects to wireless headphones via Bluetooth as well as wired headsets via the included 3.5mm jack, which will hopefully allow a wider range of Bluetooth headsets to be used and dodge the annoying limitations built into the PS5 itself.

It’ll be arriving towards December, at a cost of $199.99 in the US, or €220.90 in Europe. And as if that’s not already sounding exciting enough, we’ve even got a trailer for you!
