The News Review: Edition 6

Here at The Gaming Review we know that you gamers keep a busy schedule, and don’t want to spend hours searching the depths of the internet for the latest in gaming news, so we’ve compiled what we think is the most important news over the last seven days, in a quick and easy to read format. Here’s the news for the 4th October 2013…

  • Tom Clancy, who has lent his name to the massively successful Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games, and co founder of Red Storm Entertainment, has passed away at age 66.
  • Valve announces a new gaming controller with ‘haptic’ feedback, capable of delivering a variety of physical sensations to the player, and supposedly closing the gap on the traditional keyboard and mouse in responsiveness and control.
  • Valve has officially filed for a trademark on Half Life 3, potentially indicating the developers plans to continue with the enormously popular first person shooter.
  • Rockstar working “around the clock” to fix Grand Theft Auto Online launch issues, after it was hit with various problems straight after release.
  • Insomniac Games has announced that Ratchet & Clank: Nexus will be released in North America on November 12th, and Europe on November 13th.
  • Deus Ex Universe has been announced by Eidos-Montreal, and will feature a series of games spread across PC, Next Gen consoles, tablets, smartphones, books and graphic novels.
  • A new Kirby title has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS, expected to be released in 2014.
  • President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, has announced that Sonic will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
  • Famous Australian racing track Bathurst, home to the Bathurst 1000, will feature in Gran Turismo 6.
