The News Review: Edition 56

Here at The Gaming Review, we know that the modern gamer can be far too busy to traipse through the depths of the internet to find all the latest in gaming news, so that’s why we’ve done the traipsing for you, and put the biggest stories over the past 7 days all in one place.

  • Valve has decided to nerf the ridiculous R8 Revolver in Counter Strike: Global Offensive following an enormous backlash from the community.
  • Scott Moffitt, Nintendo’s vice-president of sales and marketing, has said the “Nintendo 3DS is here to stay.”
  • A new patch for Fallout 4 is set to fix a number of bugs, coming out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
  • Meanwhile an update has been released for Fallout Shelter, adding a number of features such as pets and a ‘sell all’ function.
  • Parappa the Rapper 2 is set to come to PS4 via an online PS2 re-release on December 15th.
  • Telltale has announced that Minecraft: Story Mode – Episode 4 – A Block and a Hard Place, will be released on December 22nd
  • Psyonix have confirmed on Twitter that the Xbox One variant of Rocket League will not feature cross-platform play like its PC and PS4 counterpart.
  • Codemasters has announced Dirt Rally is officially out on Steam, and will be coming out on Xbox One and PS4 on April 5th.
  • Techland has revealed Dying Light players will receive free DLC starting on February 9th as a reward for their ‘Drink for DLC’ campaign.
  • The release date for Assassins Creed: Syndicate – Jack the Ripper has been revealed to be December 15th.
  • The free to play version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 has been released on PS3 and PS4, and features training mode, myClub mode and an Exhibition mode featuring 7 teams.
  • The Fullbright Company has revealed that Gone Home will make its way to PS4 and Xbox One on January 12th.
  • Insomniac Games has announced Ratchet and Clank Remastered will be coming to PS4 on April 4th.
  • Meanwhile IO Interactive has revealed the beta for the next Hitman game will begin on February 12th for anyone who’s pre-ordered the game.
